I’m still undecided whether to go with Eibach or H&R. Got to say I can’t really see any difference between your before and after shots. Maybe the fronts look ever so slightly lower.

... some says HR fitment slightly lower than Eibach

... fitment on previous f20 and g01, both on HR, 20" profiles.. just for reference, all back to personal preferences

From previous threads and my questionable recall…

Eibach 1.1” front and rear

Dinan 7/8” front and rear

HR 1.4” front 1.3” rear (&#127942

I’ve been planning to paint match a portion of the front fascia and the rear valence. So I played around with the Picsart app and came up with these (left the ‘diffuser’ untouched as I plan on adding Maxton piece)

After almost a month of back and forth with paragon to correct their mistakes with the front and rear pads, I finally received all the correct pads. Installed and bedded them in today. Whew...what a irritable journey.. I'm just glad customer service was quick to respond and ship out.

Paragon rotors and paragon P3 pads w/ titanium shims up front. Had shims for the rear too but didn't feel like drilling holes..i'm tired boss

After the initial bedding process and a few stops, they are starting to feel good. We'll see in a few hundred miles how they really perform.

Went in for what is now probably my 4th screw in a tire and got it patched up... just as I was there, I mentioned the creaking noise that I've had when the steering is full lock left or right when parked and also when backing up. They mentioned they could easily replicate it and it turns out to be both front bushings need replacements... they ordered the parts and will be replacing within 2 weeks... I was surprised, I expected it to be more of a strut issue but alas... i am glad they quickly saw the issue and knew an immediate fix... only other concern is a minor rattle in the right front door but I think I've fixed that myself.

I received my wifi OBD app and tried purchased bimmerlink. At first I couldn't get it to work but then I remembered I needed diagnostic mode. The app seems very useful.

I browsed bimmercode (didn't buy) and bootmod3 (didn't buy). It seems obvious I need to FEMTO unlock my ECU for bootmod. Do I need to do the same for bimmercode? I would love to be able turn off ASD completely and close my trunk with my remote.

BimmerCode doesn’t need any unlocks.

Hi,
I’m about to buy a 2021 bmw x3. It looks like it doesn’t have the shift paddlers. Not a big deal for me but I’m wondering how can I change the gear manually if I want to? Or is the option not there at all?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a GO1 that doesn’t have the shift paddles. Anyway, you can just move the shifter to the left. That puts it into Sport mode (S) and if you move the shifter forward or backwards it will allow you to manually shift into a higher or lower gear and will stay in the manual mode (M) until you move it back into the center position.

I dunno if it’ll settle any more or not. It’s pretty much exactly a finger width. Used to be able to get 3 fingers between the tire n fender in back. And like 3.5 up front. Now it’s 2 and 2.5.

Pretty subtle but I’m okay with it. Just enough to no longer look goofy without being a negative in the winter.

Nice ZHP. Great sedan. Best ZHP. What year.

Let me know if you or she is ready for upgrades. I just might sell my new, never used and no longer available BMW original front spoiler.

manual tranny? i feel like if these cars had carplay / comfort access... they'd still feel modern...the only thing is the build quality of the E46s is somewhat subpar to the newer cars that's would be my only concern

But of course! The whole reason we started off our Bimmer “collection” is because I bought her an E90 auto and she got bored so I took that and she got an E92.

E46 is a timeless design. I still see them and think they look good on the road in amongst modern cars. I wouldn’t have one now as a daily, this is our fun car that we can tear apart and repair/maintain at our leisure.

As a new BMW owner I'm sourcing some essential parts.. like winter wheel set.

Here in middle Europe the winter is basically a rain season with either snow or rainfalls. In recent years more rain than snow unfortunately. In both cases it means salty roads and lot of mess.

My choice is 19" wheelset. The main reason is to keep the dirt captured by undercarriages, keep the rim bit further from the ground, especially from the salty muddy cocktail we have on the roads. After some Internet lookup I decided to get 689M wheelset in Orbit Grey color and I was lucky to find one in spring sale at nearby BMW dealership. This color looks great - darker when cloudy, bit more sparkly when the sun goes out. I think they complement the black carbon color great.

So it has new home now at my garage and I'm looking forward to winter
