Looking at diagrams, I see a wire in the X3M/X4M headrest that is not present in our cars (marked in red), so I am afraid that we will not have that wire, so to make them illuminate we will have to make something else that just plugging in.

I think it would be very easy to check, just pulling one emblem and looking at the hole... As I am still waiting for the car, I cannot check yet.
Is that part # 3 in M40i M-Sport seats headrest, a black non-color emblem piece?

Or, is it a non-illuminated colored emblem?

Anyone here with M Sport seat in X4, the headrest (which is non-powered, unlike the X3m M Sport seat headrest) does not tilt front/back, right?

But the height can be adjusted? From the pictures doesn't seem like there are usual notches on the headrest height bars?

Anyone removed the headrest in X4 M Sport set?

It's a cheap black plastic non color emblem. I put the OEM ones from M model, don't have light as there is no visible connection in the seat, but look way better anyway.

It does not tilt, but can be adjusted electrically, I use your picture from other thread, as it is how it works in all M seats

Has anyone figured out how to wire these into the interior lighting system yet on the 40i ?

Installed a Maxton rear spoiler. It's very subtle and I seriously doubt anyone but me would notice it. I'll post some better pics later if anyone is interested.

The next thing will be to vinyl the chrome ring of the button to open the trunk in black.
I totally love what you have done with yours so far!
I like the red on Cognac Vernasca interior, the spoiler and painted wheels.

I noticed you have got Michelin Sports 21” tyres. Mine is year 2020 with Bridgestone Alenza 21” tyres. I am about to replace a damaged tyre, might as well replace my front pairs with Michelins.

1) Did those Michelins come with the car for 2021 model or you changed them?
2) How is the ride and stopping with those Michelin tyres compared to Bridgestone Alenzas if you had those before?
3) Does it feel bouncy when you stop? Road noise?

Hi, thank you!

Sorry for late response, I just saw it...

I changed them, I had Alenzas in my previous X3, and now again in X4 and I hate them, they are so bad tires...

Michelins are better in everything, by far. Road noise is less, comfort is much better, braking is light years away, cornering is insane, in fact I have not yet reached the limit with these tires and with the Alenza it was relatively easy.

On a wet surface, you have to multiply everything mentioned by 100.

Although the sidewall is softer as it is not RFT, the tire is generally stiffer, and the tire responds better and transmits what is happening much better, while being more comfortable as I mentioned before. It is also much more predictable and progressive.

The alenza had less than half their wear life (although when removing them we detected an internal defect that more people have had), but I decided to make the change anyway, and I couldn't be happier.

I want to replace my fender vents in my 2020 M40i with the OEM 2020 X4M ( I hear the aftermarket piece the label comes off and not modeled to the piece). Has anyone tried the fitment?
I believe they share the same side panel (fender)

Is a X4 X30i a GO2 X4. New to BMW and completely confused with all the ID’s. Is there a chart showing the various models.
Thanks

Very nice! Do you have any manual or reference about how to install? Been thinking about doing this but can't find any guidance from the internet, except one from Chinese manufacturer from eBay listing.
