In my experience the 5W-30 is still al little too thick & takes to long to get up to ideal "preliminary" operating temps. Even in a mild climate & with fair weather where it's not that cold (like here in California). You guys can continue messing with & experimenting with different oil weights as much as you want. But I'm sticking with the 0W-30 the S58 was built with & will change it often.

When I went from 5W-30 in my tuned N55 to the same 0W-30 in my S58, the warm up times, MPG's & overall rev-happy nature of the engine was noticeable. The 5W-30 on the other hand wasn't ever necessary here.

This is correct and believe me, the engineers don't always know what's best.
