XHP Transmission tune

Hello guys, just curious about XHP transmission tune, for those people who has done it on their M40i, how is it?

What is your setup?

What is the difference you notice? Any improvements?

And last but not least are they worth it?

I’m a big fan of Stage 3

I don’t really remember what the factory sport shifting felt like but definitely like how it feels now

No regrets

Stage 2 with bm3 stage 2 93. I love it simply for showing the gear you’re in. Shifts are def quicker in sport. Even my mechanic commented on how nice it was.

Lately - maybe just in my head, I feel like the car is too eager to shift too low in the rpm ranges. Presumably good for gas mileage but I wish it held more. There’s probably a way to custom tune that but I’m no where near smart enough for that.

I feel like it also helped with the first shift or two when the car is cold. I feel like that was super clunky before and now it’s improved a fair amount.

Considering you get results for doing it off your phone, would do again in a heart beat.

Thank you so you would recommend getting the map pack and x delete?

Running Stage 2 perfectly fine it as a daily driver. Stage 3 was too much.

The car absolutely needs xHP as the stock gearbox programming is absolutely horrible. Especially the jerky downshift feeling when slowing down. xHP helped but it not 100% gone unfortunately.

Keep it mind that it takes a lot of driving for the gearbox to adapt perfectly. I believe xHP say 100km or so, but if you ask me, a few 1000km's.
I also reflashed it at a later time to change some optional settings (which had little to do with shifting behaviour) and even after that 2nd flash it felt better.

Edit: Also get xDelete if you don't need 4 wheel drive. It improves the steering feel greatly (2wd/rear wheel drive only)
