Seeking Tire Recommendation for 2016 X3 35i
Hello,
I’m trying to decide between the Michelin CrossClimate 2 and the Pilot Sport AS4 for my 2016 X3 35i. I’ve read several good reviews about both, but just not sure that I need to the CC2’s for Northeast Ohio winters. The Michelin Defenders that I’ve been running on my previous vehicles have been fantastic in the snow, and I’m not in the mountains with several inches of snow. My top priority is safety over performance, as I transport my kids a lot. Second priority is longevity/wear. Thanks very much for your time! Matt |

The Michelin CC will be better in the winter versus the AS4, but the AS4 will handle better and offer more grip in the dry.
I am putting the PS AS4 on my wife's X3 to replace the 'summer P Zeros' that are currently on there. For the winter we put on X-Ice SNOW winter tires which are excellent. |

Thanks very much for the feedback, guys. I ended up getting the CC2's installed on Friday. Love them so far, and looking forward to testing them out in some snow!

Their snow performance was better than I expected. Not as good as the X-Ice Snow tires of snow, but adequate. They took longer to regain grip once they lost traction (versus a winter tire). Very happy with their performance. Still using winter tires for the winter. |
