2011 X3 OFHG replacement
Hello. I’m new to the forum and I have a 2011 X3 x28i (F25) with an N52 I6 3.0 L engine. I am replacing the Oil Filter Housing Gasket as well as the Oil cooler gasket. I know I need to replace the OFHG bolts. Do I also need to replace the oil cooler bolts? I notice these bolts are quite a bit more expensive than the OFHG bolts and was wondering if they could be reused.

I did this work on my 2012 model year car several years ago. As I recall bolt replacement is not necessary, and there is no notation as such on the BMW TIS (see attachments); Single use bolts apply to the bolts used to fasten components to the engine block, such as oil pan, water pump, etc. due to the material the block is made of.

No O-rings on that end, hose w/clamp directly onto housing connections.

We bought the X3 with 61k miles, I don't think it was replaced before then. |

Geez....only 61K miles before another gasket replacement, ugh that's poor performance - BMW and weak gaskets, ugh!
