I've never had a problem buying my touch up paint from Ebay sellers. Less expensive than Amazon and whole lot cheaper than dealer. Just buy from established seller with at least 98% positive reviews. Amazon is ok source for buying 6" wide ppf to do a diy install across front of hood. Have it on both my '21 and '19.
Add: I've found touch up paint will last longer in a glass bottle over sellers who use plastic, but sometimes tough to find.

Thanks! What kind of craftsmanship and patience does one need to do a self install?..

This video should give you a good idea. Depending on how your hood is, the clay bar may not be necessary. You'll need to use a razor blade or box cutter tool to cut around your logo.

Yea, I think I would be much better off paying someone — or I might end up kicking the shit out of my car in frustration)))

How noticeable is the edge of the film, would you say?

Not noticeable at all since you wrap the about 3/4" overlap under the hood.

Your DIY talent and hand coordination most certainly would exceed mine. I was comforted to see the Xpel technician pull up the file for the pattern on the laser cutter specific to my vehicle to trim the piece from their roll and I watched his skill in application. I think Dirty Harry said something along the lines of "A good man knows his limitations!" I know mine!

Once you're retired, you have time for a lot of practice
