Bmw Floating caps
I have 2017 BMW x3 28i. What is the exact floating caps do I need? The 65mm or the 56mm? I have tried to find this answer on the net, but can’t seem to find it and if I do, there are so many miss information. Since the floating caps and the 2017 x3 been out for long time. I figure someone is using the correct floating caps on there ride. My car does still have the oem wheels. Thanks for helping out!

Which oe wheels do you have? Knowing that will solve your mystery. Once you know your wheel style number…you can go to one of the online part database sites to see which hub cap it uses. You can then shop for that hub cap using its BMW part number….and the floating hubcap equivalent.
If you click on the 11 digit BMW part number (like one the www.realoem.com website) it will list all the other BMW models that use the same part. This again can help determine which floating hub cap you need. EDIT: I looked up the X3 28i wheels and it looks like all of them use the same hub cap….so using that 11 digit part number…i simple googled the following phrase to find vendors that sell the correct floating hub caps for the F25 X3. Copy and paste the following phrase into a google search box: { BMW 36122455269 floating hub cap } At least one of the vendors in the list should also give the size of the floating hub cap…and since you’re using the correct BMW part number to search with…it will be the correct size for your X3. Good luck.

Thank you so much for you help! I do truly appreciate this! It just when I was looking on the internet it was hard to find correct info, because the info / answers were all over the place. I finally I should use bimmpost to ask my small question. I have owned 3 and on my 4 BMW. They have been 3 series sedan and now X3. Just because I have German shepherd. I find that it’s hard to find true answers for my 2017, because it was the last model for the F25 series. I can old f25 series stuff, but had for 2017. Even aftermarket add ons are little tough to find for my ride. Anyways! Thank you for the help!!

For a F25 X3, yes…65mm is correct.
