Suspension mods for flatter cornering
Recently traded my F82 for C7 Z06 and got a X3 M40i as my practical car (not quite a daily as I don't drive to work). M40i really lives up to the reputation of sports car handling, and pulls nearly as hard as the F82 (with far better traction from a dig). Also love the plushier ride compared to the F82 for cruising... the damping is terrific on this car.
Obviously, there is more body roll than the F82 given the softer springs and dampers and higher COG. I was thinking if it would make sense to add stiffer sway bars while keeping the dampers and springs stock to reduce roll when turning but without compromising the excellent damping and comfort over bumps. I am not trying to track this car by any means but just wanted to see if it's possible to reduce roll when whipping it around on the street. |

having come from an f87 m2 comp myself... i wouldnt even consider this as its entirely not worth it... it will never be truly sporty and not sure how you would even mod the adaptive suspension which is far too soft...
unless you want to lower the car and lose the utility of an suv

I’m lowered on H&R springs with front, mid brace and rear bars installed from Aleks Racing along with an engine bay strut brace and upgraded radiator strut bars
Lighter/wider wheels w/ Michelin PS4S It’s still an SUV (SAV?) but handles much better than stock You’ll find lots of useful information in the below thread https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1950959 |

Went with KW3 Coilovers and TSW RIMs. I can say it is more planted and doesnt roll. Ive tested on the street, highways and mountain roads. And it handles very well in Auto-X's :-)
