Do other manufacturers do this?
Ehhh a 30i does NOT have LC. So no they do not promote it on those models. Also I do not recall BMW promoting LC on any model. Hard driving around a closed course is about it.
Thats like saying why does KIA promote 140mph on the dashboard but you can only go 65 “legally”. Just because its there doesnt mean you should use it.

First of all as an owner of an X4 30i 2023 I would know this. And yes they do promote it in a way because it is in the manual and in idrive 7 with the procedures.
It’s certainly not hidden so that you have to use BimmerCode to get it.

If you have your own business and the point of that business is to make money, wouldn't you do everything to capture your customers from any angle?

Yes, I agree. However, to do this here you need to have a very good product. And they do.
Kudos to BMW

Someone on fb is having a 2 piece one made...Hopefully it will hold power and be more cost effective.

My driveshaft cost me 3018.39 total with parts and labor, they charging you 3236 for just the driveshaft?
With mine was 700 and 2 hours of work o not end

It only took both of us blowing two driveshafts the same way before we decided to get an upgraded one😂

How often are you launching? I feel like I drive the piss out of mine and holding strong for time being…I rarely use launch control so that may be my only saving grace. Around 46k miles

I had about 400+ launches on my last one testing the reliability of my rear diff bushing fix, the one before that broke from the bolt snapping:/

The driveshaftpro is $606.40 + shipping I think $80 for ground or $110 for overnight. Plus jxb which both me and burr are getting very bad nvh around 3k-4.5k in 3rd gear. He has the street bushing and I have the track

Your mistake was having BMW come tow your car. You could have had your car towed to your house through your insurance and they would have also authorized a second tow to the dealership. While it was at your house you should have removed the jb4 and you would have gotten it covered under warranty

When he does realize that burr now has a fully built car🫣 also thinking that bmw won’t see that the jb4 was installed via the data on ISTA

I drive a 2023 M40i and I am wondering if that driveshaft would fit my MY too, as only the 2023 X4 is listed on the homepage.

Can anybody answer this?

As I am going for a built transmission I would also upgrade the driveshaft in that situation.

A few people using the cf version have seen failure and no recourse to getting it fixed or replaced, but that's mostly info 3rd hansd be. aware.
