Lazy bluetooth

This has been happening for a while now and wondered if anyone else has such issue (or indeed resolution :-)

Get into car after overnight. Switch on. Phone connects in good time, mostly 10 seconds or pretty quick. Drive somewhere, park up to go in a shop (locked and car shutdown). Open car, get back in and either it won't find the phone (just comes up with the searching for screen) or it takes bloody ages to re-connect.

Yes I re-started iDrive/Phone but this seems to be a recurring theme. Not every single time I might add, but probably 50/50.

Unsure type of phone you have but since I’ve updated to IOS 17 my phone connects to my car a lot faster now.

That happens to me occasionally. I’ve found that putting my phone in airplane mode with the WiFi and Bluetooth shut off for a sec and then turning it back on does the trick. Restarting the iDrive does nothing. For whatever reason it appears to be on the phone side.

Ahhhh - will try this next time - thanks.

Is iPhone 13 / IOS 17.0.2 now. Sorry I forgot to mention. I wonder if Android is better :-)

It pisses me off.
