How does the 4 year unlimited roadside assistance work,
1. 4 year unlimited roadside assistance in US. The website says:
Battery jump starts Delivery of fuel or operating fluids Tire changes Lock-out services Help arrange rides, secure alternate transportation, help with hotel accommodations – or even reimburse for limited cases of vehicle disablement what does this actually cover that's not coming from our own pockets, i.e. If I get stranded somewhere, should I ask BMW roadside or just pay for the service through my insurance? TOW HITCH 2. I installed an aftermarket tow hitch, but when I switch to the rearview camera, trailer hitch zoom view does not come on. Does this mean the hitch was not wired correctly for the car to recognize it, or do I still have to code in ISTA or E-sys to enable trailer hitch zoom/trailer mode? |

I would not expect it to be great assistance, it got an "F"...as in your kind of> ---ed. (move the f two spaces)

The complaints seem all be related to the towing to dealer and reimbursement of service expenses which I won't need. |

I used the roadside assistance last February. They got my car towed to a dealer (after 3 tries (needed a special flatbed) and reimbursed for Uber fares that night. It wasn't pretty but I wouldn't give them an F, just a C. They did what they were supposed to do but it was not effortless. It is a farmed out service at least after hours. I assume it would be equivalent to any other farmed out service.

It needed a roller flatbed. It was a 760 with blown tires that was too close to the ground for normal flatbeds. Turns out it also had some serious suspension damage (broken strut tower) and repairs were so expensive it was totaled by my insurance company (Chubb). I was astounded and then I thought about it and the consequences of a failed repair. My policy paid out for a replacement. It paid me what I had paid including tax, less what I owed to BMWFS and sent them a check and me a check.
