Oil change deal!

If you change your own oil this is a pretty good deal. Castrol 0W-20. Rated LL-17 FE +
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Castrol-E...7?from=/search

Additional $20 rebate from Castrol:
https://www.apfco.com/Secured/R12686...GK37DN,YCSRE,1

Also, Castrol is one of the OEM suppliers for Genuine BMW oil:

I've used Liqui Moly before but I don't see any issues with using Castrol. It's on the BWW approved list of oils.

With the MAN (OEM) filter HU 6602Z from Amazon for $11, two oil changes will average out $45 each for quality oil and filter... a steal in my opinion.

Haha I just bought a bunch of that oil last week and it arrived today! Enough for a couple changes. I didn’t even realize there was an additional mail in rebate available, thanks!

Actually Walmart was taking an additional $5 off the 5 qt jugs when I purchased. So mine were $24.50 each.

I didn’t have the guts to buy the filters from Amazon though. Too many reports of counterfeits. I purchased like a retail sucker from FCP Euro.

Oh that’s great! I stocked up for two oil changes as well. I wasn’t aware of the counterfeit issue I’ll have to compare the Amazon filter to the one that comes off my vehicle.

Sure beats paying RMEuro ~75 bucks for Motul 0W-30. I wanted something a little thicker for summer but realistically it probably doesn't matter much.
Looks like that Castrol will have to be shipped, but so does everything else...LL oils are nearly impossible to find in person.

At one point wasn't Castrol the preferred vendor by BMW?

I think it might in fact be the current supplier?

https://www.castrol.com/en_us/united...-supplier.html

The contract with Shell ended I believe.

You’re right. this is the link I meant to post.
Castrol was also recommended by BMW for a long time. I remember the oil cap for E92 said Castrol on it.
