Smashed wing mirror

Just had my mirror smashed by a car taking the ‘racing line’ on a bend. What’s the best thing to do, are they super expensive to buy / repair myself, should I just go through insurance?

Sorry to hear about the mirror

I had a similar incident in with my 5 series..... £700 to replace the surround and glass (from the dealer). They're ridiculously expensive unfortunately. I'd try eBay or a breaker for one - they aren't iX3 specific. Just check the part numbers.

From the pics it looks like you just need the surround and glass. The rest looks ok.
