X3noob I'm on stock shocks and Eibachs with 50,000kms over 6 years. No bottoming out. Had heavy factory 20" with runflats before and the ride was quite crashy. 19" forged wheels with conventional tires resolved those issues.

Hi everyone,
I also have fitted the Koni Special Actives to my X3 after loving them on my E46 330i w/ sport suspension. My car is a 2016 F25 X3 xDrive30d M-Sport with 19inch wheels and runflats fitted. It has 97,000km/60,000miles, and I have fitted the Special Actives with the original OEM springs. After fitment, I noticed the following: - Ride comfort is generally improved, but most noticeably over corrugations (e.g. a gravel or cobbled road). The ride is overall, still quite firm though. It's a bit strange in that way. - Steering turn-in is not as sharp or precise as before with stock M Sport shocks - Ride height in the rear is higher (or at least unequal as compared to the front). I actually wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed this? The ride height is noticeably higher in the rear and especially compared to teh front. Has anyone else has this experience? Could there have been an error with the installation or do these shocks simply have this effect? I know that after market shocks can sometimes affect ride height, and my car has newly fitted rear shocks before i changed to special actives, though I don't remember exactly what the ride height was before. What i mostly notice is that the rear ride height seems noticeably higher than the front and I expect them to be roughly equal. Would greatly appreciate any comments from others. |

Anyway just sharing that the Koni Active Shock will only match with stock springs. They cannot match with any lowered springs.
I am currently on Vogtland springs on my 16 x3 f25 |

7 days is the correct amount of days to wait out before performing wheel alignment. Enough time for the suspension components to settle in. If you do it sooner, it may go out of alignment spec. I have a VW GTI which I replaced the entire suspension system on and I had to wait 7 days... even though the shop did bring it in for an alignment. I ended up doing another alignment after 7 days. Now the car drives nice and smooth. Looking forward to getting new suspension on my 2017 x3 F25! I will check out Koni's but I would rather go with KW's/ST's. |

Too good to be true?
Looking to replace a bad strut (or some other unknown suspension issue coming from the rear of the vehicle) and came across these supposed EDC struts that the price seems way too good to be true.
Any thoughts??? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...oe-37126799911 |
