did bmw change the carbon used on the interior? im looking at lots of used cars and 90% have glossy black carbon but 10% have flat very silver looking carbon. wondering if they switched from dry carbon maybe to wet?

No, it was always gloss carbon fiber from the factory.

The matte carbon fiber silver looking material is aluminium that was an option.

Aluminum weave is what I think it was called. I have it on my 2020 and prefer it over the carbon.
