passenger restraint system... code: 930a1c
No good easy Google answers, so I'm hoping you guys can help me. The car, 2013 X3 28i has been throwing up an error msg that came up when I got out of the seat at a stop. It's been popping up intermittently with nothing obviously setting it off. The error is a passenger restraint system malfunction and I get the airbag light as well. I used my code reader and pulled the following code: 930a1c
It is on whether or not someone is in the seat. It hasnt rained so I don't think it's water related. Anyone got any ideas? It's been an expensive few months with my BMW's and I'm trying to avoid going to the dealership. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

Thank you for this. It certainly doesn't inspire confidence though. BMW made sure to leave a clear out for the dealerships with the verbage they used to write this bulletin. "Outside forces", like you know, using your vehicle like a normal ass person does. |

Closure to this thread:
Problem seems to have solved itself. I ran the seat heaters and the car heat for a while. It was a shot in the dark but it worked. My best guess is that my wife or one of my children must have really soaked the seat and no one told me about it. |
