Good to see it's going well and car is pulling like a freight train and sounds just the way you want!

Any idea why the pull was done in 3rd gear and not 5th or 6th with a closer 1:1 ratio?

Good question!

I personally do pull at 4th gear (also 1:1 ratio as i found out, either on the road as street logging and from dyno, weren't really realistic) so i'll do that.

The 3rd gear (and second gear) pull was done by the tuner and i was in the passenger seat, and i wanted to at least have this data logging for comparison purpose.

Also, FYI, good discussions and inputs from SMEs (subject matter experts),

Well, passed the wife (and kids) test, for now. I guess eco mode also do help. Perhaps these newer cars are so damn efficient (compared to my older E cars) and that helps with lessening of "the smell".

If this is how it's going to be then yeah, PCV VTA for OCC, it is!

Yeah the GTS roar with a DP is awesome. My wife hates it so much but I can't bear to get rid of it, it makes me smile every time I start her up.

My BSI is finally coming to an end soon, so of course I've been following these posts with great interest. I've already had an ECU tune a while ago, but now I want to look into stage upgrades. I have a 2018 X4 G02 xdrive20d. After checking all the different manufacturers and sites mentioned I don't find a single upgrade available. Am I missing something here?

Hello I have a 2018 x3 m40i. Was looking into tuning options. Which one is the most preferred and is catted dp worth it? With the added boost do you need to install new spark plugs/coil packs? Which ones do you recommend? Thanks for any info, didn’t really see much in the search bar.

Any downsides to running the AA 400 cell without a tune? Does this void the warranty or should I check with my dealer? Just looking for some more sound, the FI exhaust is way too expensive.

No downsides, the aa catted downpipes won't affect warranty

100% get the AA downpipe.

I got Fi exhaust first and then AA downpipe. By my estimation the whole Fi catback did about as much as the downpipe of increasing the sound.

I then changed to catless dp and the sound was simply insane. I’m back to stock dp since I have emissions test coming up soon and I sold the AA dp but now I’m thinking I should’ve just kept the AA since it would likely pass emissions and sounds way better. With stock dp and fi exhaust I feel dead inside with the lack of sound lol

I’m debating getting the aa dp as well, but even without a tune wouldn’t it report something in BMW’s system due to the slightly higher flow? I know it wont throw a CEL but I imagine as long as the car gets plugged into their system it will detect a change.

I’m not alluding to the whole Magnuson Moss deal where the dealer has to prove cause for failure. I’m more so just curious from a computer detection standpoint. Worst case I can always swap the DP if I need to service the car, but it’s a moot point if the ECU reports something.

I can't say what the BMW systems checks and report, but given that this has never been an issue with any BMW, it does not matter what the BMW reports.

It either does not report any different numbers, or they don't care about it, not flagging a single car all these years.
