M sport Seat retrofit question
Hi guys,
I tried to swap comfort seat to M sport seat(F97). But some problem occurred when I finished the swap. The driver seat moves normally, but switch motion was reversed. And the seat module didnot recognized ISTA but recognized in esys. And passenger seat did not work through by switch function, but it recognized in esys and ISTA So I checked to disassemble seat module and confirm it. The label wrote “engineering sample”. Is it reason of abnormally working seat motion? And if I buy the new one, is it will solve? I checked wiring and connection are normal. |

Did you have to do anything to get the seat badges to illuminate or did they just work when you plugged everything in?
I have G01 M seats that came with the black plastic badges which I have swapped for the illuminated badges but I’m having difficulty in working out how to illuminate them as the wiring is not in my seats.

If true, then there should be part number of center console for MAPQ for upholstery. |

Yep. Again, yep. Based on the OP's pics and profile info - looks like he drives an X3 M40i in Korea. |

Did you resolve this in the end? From what I’ve read you have to change the modules over from your old seats.

Can you tell what the problem was with the driver seat module? I have exactly the same problem; both modules think they are the passenger seat. Do you have a picture of the connectors of both seats? I've read something on another forum that the car 'recognizes' the seats by an extra brown cable (mass) for the passenger seat comparing tot the driver seat. Hope you can share the pictures of the connector of the passenger AND driver seat!! |
