2014 X3 Pax Seat Restraint Malfunction
BMW dealer diagnosed to the seat mat sensor on pax side. They are quoting $1900 to remove seat, dissemble and replace. Any others do this repair? Curious what they paid. Seems very steep!

Never heard of a "pax" seat, but I've removed/replaced the occupancy seat sensor which took me ~ an hour.

My passenger seat mat also went, I had it replaced by the dealer under a protection plan but the receipt says it was ~$1600 out the door. So i'd say that's a little steep but not out of this world.
It's one of those things that will be a lot cheaper to get done by an independent shop. No benefit in having it done by the dealer. |
