Yeah for precon, nothing else though, they don't use it to keep any systems alive etc like the tesla sometimes does.

Just trying to figure out if our ix3's do similar which would benefit the battery if generally kept plugged in?
The iX3 will not draw anything after the set level of charge is reached. When left “plugged in” it will start drawing power again when there is a requested “pre-climatizing” needed. This keeps the batteries at 100%.
I notice this process in my Myenergi app.

You can hear the relay disconnecting in my Zappi when the preset battery level is reached, hence no need to get out of bed at 2.15 to disconnect

As far as the “granny charger” is concerned I have not enough experience to confirm, but I guess it works same.

Granny can't supply enough to keep it at 100% there's more than the 1.3kW draw until the car gets to temp. Suppose it will charge back up to 100% if left on the granny after temp is reached.

It depends what current limit you have set.

Mine happily charges at 2.4kW.

Aaah true I don't tend to run at 10amps though, as stated before, at home have a 7kW output, but only use the granny when away from home, and I dont/won't trust other people's electrical supply, so limit the current between 6-8amps.

Have to admit that I have never heard of it. But SmartHomeCharge.co.uk gave it a pretty terrible review.

I've not heard of it either. There are a lot of chargers on the market that are tried and tested, which get good reviews. I would go for one of those.

Had my Hypervolt charger installed on Monday. Overall very pleased how it looks and app layout. Yet to try it out as I’m waiting for my new car!

Just to add, I have ordered a wall mounted side holster so that the plug sits no further out than the Hypervolt unit
