Hi everyone. I recently bought a X3 F25 2.0 diesel 2015. I have all the parts for retrofit a power tailgate. Ie module , struts, connectors button.

I have made all the connections and even tapped into can bus. But it does not work. Does anyone know if it has to be codded into the car for the module to work ?

Hence, when of the car and with everything connected should it work as stand alone or it needs data from the car to work. Also when i connect power from i hear the relays clicking but nothing is happening.

Probably need to VO code option 316 and then code the appropriate modules.

Can it be done with bimmercode ?

But the question is should it properly operate off the car or not ?

I don't use bimmercode, but I don't think so, unless you know every parameter about hatch for every module required, use esys instead.

I mean that i installed everything in the car tapped into can bus but
It did not work.

Some people have said that when they have done the retrofit it worked without coding.

So have i done something wrong or it needa the coding to work ?

I'm not familiar with a power hatch retrofit and whether it needs coding or not, but if you don't want to take my advice to add the option to the VO and code the related modules, I don't have any additional recommendations good luck

Its not that i dont want to its that i can not do it my self and i muat find a workshop to do it.

If you don't think coding is required, I'd double check all that cabling to make sure it's correct.

With a windows PC and a $15 cable you can use esys to add the option to the VO.

I have the cable and Esys. Can you help me with what i need to add for Vo 316?

I can not find what data i need to code for it.

I thought power tailgate was standard on all X3s, at least for the LCI.

Mine is pre-LCI and does not have.
