hello guys... i have 2012 F25. when i turn on cruise control and set speed i cant decrease speed by knob on the wheel. but when i press up speed is increasing. what may be the problem ?

Does the up function work correctly and the down function not at all? By that I mean a quick tap changes speed 1 mph, a slightly longer hold changes it 5 mph, and holding it constantly is like pressing the accelerator? If it all works one way but not the other, my first guess would be the switch itself.
