New BMW/X4MC Member
Hello fellow X4M/X3M drivers! I have finally joined the family. This is my first BMW and I am in absolute love with this vehicle.
A little about myself. I am a US Air Force Veteran and now working with the US Army as a Network/System engineer overseas in Germany. As far as car ownership my notables are: 1. 1995 Mercury Cougar XR7 (high school) 2. 2007 Mazdaspeed 3. 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP 4. 2016 Ford Focus ST I am a diehard Raiders fan (season ticket holder in the black hole) so Brooklyn Grey with Black interior was a no brainer for me. The wife and I even made sure our pick up day outfits matched the car I also got the X4MC fully wrapped with XPEL Ultimate+. This process was easy as the dealer coordinated the pick up and drop off by the wrap company before I took delivery. I now have an appointment to get full Ceramic. As I work with the US Military in Germany I get to use VAT (tax exempt form) the XPEL Wrap cost me 4400 EURO ($5000ish) and the Full ceramic will be 725 EURO ($825ish) As for options, its fully loaded. Unfortunately I ordered before the "M Shadowline Lights" headlights were an option. I am guessing to get this would be a full headlight replacement? I am also excited as with the M Drivers pack I am going to get to drive Nürburgring. Probably the only chance I will have in this lifetime. Look forward to becoming part of this great community! Nice to meet you all. |

Hey congratulations! That is absolutely beautiful. Sometimes I wish I got an X4M just to "be different" as there are so many X3's on the road. That is an awesome spec.
As far as I know yes... that would require a full headlight swap for the "shadowline" version. What would make a lot more sense though is to see if a good shop could just do a very light tint, basically paint protection film over the headlights to achieve almost the same result. It would certainly be a lot cheaper. As long as it doesn't reduce the effectiveness of the headlights... I think that's the better option. Just a thought.

Wow. Looks great 👍. The tint on the headlights works well. My son did it to his STI and didn't affect light output. Your wrap guy can do this. 2018 ST and 2017 RS owner here! And thank for your service. My son is 68W in US Army.

B - I couldn’t be more jealous of the Nurburgring. If I am lucky I will get a chance to drive in Spartanburg, SC performance center….which is a pretty far cry from the Ring. |

Congrats. I got to drive the Nurburgring with my 2020 X3MC while I was stationed there. Even on winter wheels/tires, it was fun.

Awesome spec - welcome to the group.
The Nurburgring is an amazing experience, I'm sure you will love it. Unfortunately I've only been a passenger in an F80 M3 but I would love to drive it next time!
