I've come to a sad realization...

Put my winters on about a week ago, been driving all week and realized today that I am enjoying the car significantly more with winters on. The reason is simple - the ride is significantly better with the Pirelli Scorpion Winters. I know the ride quality issues have been beat to death and I have MSS springs, which help considerably, but it's just so much more livable without the PS4S on. As much as I love the tire, the performance loss is not significant based on how I drive most of the time.

All that to say, I may switch to an all season tire in the spring. Perhaps the Pilot Sport 4 All Season if it rides better than the 4S.

I must be getting old.

I hear the PS4AS rides noticeably better than the summer version, and gives up very little in grip unless you are pushing the limits.

I do agree the ride is very comfy with the winters on. The vehicle is basically neutered tho, let's call it what it is LOL

I like the sharp contrast when switching back to summers. Makes it feel like a completely different vehicle.

Same observation here as the OP, but I think my experience is made even sweeter by getting the latest Istep software flashed upon my tire swap. It significantly improved the suspension, period.

How were you able to convince the dealer to do the istep upgrade? I hear you need to either claim CarPlay as a reason or something else. Which I think is ridiculous… if there's an upgrade available, they should do it no questions or white lies necessary.
