2011 F25 OEM Radio enquiry

Hi guys,

I have a 2010 BMW X3 F25 and was looking to change the head unit with a 2012 BMW X3 F25 which has the 8.8” display where mine has the 6.5” display, the unit I want to buy also has navigation where mine does not.

Question - Would I be able to install this in my F25 after having it programmed, I believe that they both CIC systems, I am not sure about the rear connectors on mine or the unit I am looking to purchase, just trying to see if anyone has already done this and if so did you run into any issues and does it fit correctly into the dash and does everything work as it should?

Model year 2010 X3's are not F25s. Do you mean your X3 has a 2010 production date? If it is truly an F25, then it will fit, but you should verify the connections in case the other unit is NBT and not CIC like a MY2011 is.

Hi Najnad, correct production date is 2010, it’s definitely an F25 as I recently had my junction box replaced and confirmed on the box it’s an F25, BMW also confirmed 🙂. The BMW radio I am looking at is listed as CIC which mine is also, but the connections is something I will definitely need to spend more time on to determine if they the same pin type.
