New X3 and X1 prediction impressions
These very recent impressions are from Huckfeldt who is usually fairly accurate when it comes to his predictions.

X3 looks pretty good, if they slaps the TT on there it would be perfect

The side shot of the X3 reminds me of the older Subaru wagons.
Since the 335 coupe is close to the size of a 135 coupe, the X1 will be close to the size of an X3. Which begs the question, why the X1?

Ya, I'm not understanding the need for the X1. The X3 looks good, like a baby X5.

the artists are using the current BMW shapes all over the place and just going wild with imagination and seemingly this has nothing to do with how the real deal is going to look like.
So I would not put too much faith into these. They dont represent anything at all.

I have heard people say the same thing about the X3 and the new X6. Bottom line it will probably be an entry level BMW but that’s also what I originally thought about the 1 series. I agree though in that it serves no purpose unless it was a 2 door version then it would be a different market.

The X3 looks great! Basically a new X5 in a smaller tighter package. The sweet N54 will be under the hood as well. Time for a trade-in

lets pray they do. I only have a 2 year lease on my wifes car and if they did that I would order one right away to make sure we can pick it up the DAY her lease is up.

BMW confirmed that the largest 3 series engine (N54) will be available in both the new X3 and X1. My next ride will be the X1 if it ends up like a smaller X6. That is a perfect little package.

looks good. my lease is up 05/2010, and if the X3 is available, i'll probably pick it up.
The X1 competes with the entry-level SUV's of the world (CRV, Rav-4, etc.), but gives the consumer a higher-end model to choose from. The X3 will definitely go up in size, so the X1 will fit in under that. however, i agree... don't see much need for it.

hopefully the new X3 will not be ugly and cheaply built like the current ones, especially the interior..

I just noticed a new (debadged) X3 that looked exactly like your images parked in the lot at the Mojave, California Stater Brothers Market. I spoke with the driver. He was tight-lipped but did say it was twin-turbo and bad ass!
