Paddleshifters
Hello All!
I own a 2015 BMW X3 Xdrive 28i. My steering wheel did not come with paddle shifters but I was wondering if I could just buy a steering wheel with paddle shifters off eBay, replace the steering wheel and have them work. I read from somewhere that most modern BMW cars are already pre-wired to support paddle shifters but I'm not entirely sure. I just don't want it to be an expensive process with coding and such, but if anyone has any solutions or can confirm some of the info I said, that would be great. Thanks! |

I installed a Msport steering wheel with paddles into my 2014 X3 that came with no paddles. They are not functional. There may be a way to code the function in but I'm not sure. I've never felt the urge to use paddle shifters in that car personally so did not pursue it.

There is a thread if you search on this topic. It's not only fiting the wheel or the paddles, there are some cables that need to be fitted and lastly some coding. Depending on your specific car there might be some cables preinstalled or not which makes this very difficult.

You would need to wire up the paddles, I did it on an 09 3 series years back, search my posts and you'll find the DIY, it would be similar for the F25
