Will these wheels & tires fit?
Found a used set of winter tires mounted on BMW wheels (style #189) 18". I have a 2015 X3 M Sport with 20" staggered now. Will the used set fit on my vehicle? They are 18"x8", 5x120 with an offset of 34. The winter tires are: 225/40R18 fronts and 255/35R18 rears.
Thanks!

I had style 189’s on my e83 I’m fairly certain they will fit F25 offset wise. Your problem those tires are WAYYYYYYY To small they would look noticeably smaller

As long as the offset is the same they will work.

I want to say they will fit. My winter wheels are 32mm offset with 245 tires and they haven't ever been an issue for rubbing. There's actually a lot of room under there.
Best thing to do is put them on and be sure. But it sounds like it's worth pursuing that at least, nothing obvious jumps out to say they won't work. |

Aside from being way too small, the load rating of the existing snow tires (about 92 to 94) is not sufficient. Tires for the X3 have a rating of about 100. Also, the offset of the proposed wheels is 34 versus 45 for OE wheels on X3. As suggested it might be worth trying the new wheels before buying.

These specific 18" Rims (30 Offset) clears the M Sport Brake. BMW Genius kept saying that 18" would not fit until he saw them...
BMW 19" winter Rims have a 32 Offset BMW 20" winter Rims have a 27 Offset Very useful site: https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...8-5&offset2=25 |

When I was looking for a winter package at 1010tires.com after talking to the manager he suggested these 18" RIM was one of the few 18" (definitely the best looking one) that clears the M Sport Brake. 18" is a -1 size (recommended for the winter) as the basic X3 comes with 19" and can be selected for the M40i. The package below Rims, Tires, TPMS, Mounted, Road Force Balance and delivered (in Canada) was $1725 US |

On my F25 I purposely install 17" wheels and tires for winter. The set offers a narrower tire (better in snow) and higher sidewalls (better to survive the winter potholes). In fact, I would have opted for 17's if available as OE on my F25. The ride so much smoother. I guess "to each his own" on this subject.

I've found offsets for this car confusing, it depends if you have M-Sport or not and even then seems to get more involved. That 45mm offset might be an M-Sport thing, it's familiar, but there are others in the 30's as well, for example the screen shot above. We seem to be able to handle quite a bit especially in back. |
