6WA help
Hey guys! I purchased a virgin 6WA off eBay. I have a 10/11 production F25 with CIC and I believe I have the combo box “arm rest phone cradle”? The seller is coding the cluster for me. Is there anything else I need ? I’ve read I SHOULD have a most connection for my cluster if I have combo box but I have yet to pull the cluster to check. Also will the cluster be plug and play? I’ve seen F15 write ups and they showed an adapter to make it work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Update: my car does have the fiber optic wire in the back of the cluster connector. I’m going to share the process and the information on the eBay seller. Hopefully this will help someone else who has cold feet about the retrofit !
More info to come ! |

What cluster do you currently have? The base one with small LCD or the extended LCD?
When I retrofitted a 2011 F10 6WA cluster to my 2014 F25, I did need the adapter that turns the two plugs for wires and MOST into one plug. Fortunately the 6WA cluster came with the plug and so I had the adapter. |

Yeah that will plug straight into the 6WA as it already has the adapter which combines the connector and MOST into one connector.
Interesting that on mine, which is also pre-LCI (2014) and also had the extended cluster like yours, it didn't have the adapter and I had to add it. |

Yes I read a lot of mixed info, I actually ordered the cable just Incase. I did read that cars with combo box had the fiber optic in the cluster for some reason? Did you have any issues coding yours ? I have an appointment for Monday with the coder.
