Trailer wiring module removed, how to code?

Just removed a CAN trailer wiring module and harness from my 2011 F25, and now there is a fault code about trailer module invalid signal in ISTA+. I didn't install the wiring but don't believe it involved any coding, and the official Westfalia kit installation instructions say that no coding is required. So how do I get the relevant car modules(s) to 'forget' the trailer module? Have ISTA+ and E-Sys but only used E-Sys for fairly simple FDL coding so far.
