CD Player Stuck on Eject Mode
Hello all, I recently purchased a 14 X3. PO had CD in dash player which I ejected. Now while car is running the player is stuck on eject mode. running cycle every 5-10 seconds. Does stop once vehicle is in sleep mode. Any ideas on how to stop this? TIA

Good advice. Sometimes things just need to be taken apart and looked at. I've fixed more than a few things that way even though nothing was apparent.

Call Garth It could also be that it needs a good cleaning, possibly the optical sensor is partially blocked by who knows what and thinks there's always a disc in there but can't read it so it continually tries to eject it. When CD players first came out with optical disc sensing, you used to be able to buy a cloth-like stiff disc that you put cleaning fluid on and loaded it into the player. Just pull the player out of the dash and pull the cover off and poke around and clean it.
