Recommendations on OBD Scan Tool
I'm looking for some real world experience with BMW OBD scan/reset/code tools. I've read reviews on Carly, Foxwell, Bavarian Technic, and several others and have gone glazed eyed and slack jawed. My primary interest is being able to read fault codes, reset CBS service values, do battery registration (and perhaps change types), and reset oil change reminder mileage...in my case from 10,000 miles down to 7,500 miles.

Take a look at these smart phone apps: BimmerCode and BimmerLink. Written by guy in Germany, reasonably priced and user friendly.

Bimmerlink does do battery registration, but it is iOS only, not Android.

BimmerCode and BimmerLink, as above.
Combined with the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE device and you are all set.

Bimmercode is cool, but does not do any of what you listed. It's for coding different car functions like getting rid of seat belt chimes, getting rid of the warning on the iDrive screen at startup, etc. Do not buy the Schwaben scanner sold by ECS. It has limited functionality on newer BMWs.
