Are we still talking about black X4's? I just got a '19 black sapphire. I love how mysterious it looks in the shade.

2020 x4

Hey guys, I'm new here seeing that I just ordered my 2020 X4 M40i last week was just wondering if anyone knows how long usually it takes to build and ship from the South Carolina plant? is anyone familiar if 2020 comes with ANdroid Auto yet? and if it even has the display key?

Your dealer should be to give you exact timing, but 4 - 6 weeks is pretty normal right now I think. No Android Auto or Display key in the US.

Thanks for the response they are giving me that timing , kinda standard wasn't sure if anyone had some good experience on faster results. I'm reading Android auto is being released in April does this mean the dealer can update my software or is this definitely a hardware update.

I don't know whether Android Auto requires new hardware. Others may understand the technical aspects better than me. However, if it's software only, there's no certainty that a service department will just flash new software for you. There's usually got to be a specific reason for them to do "warranty" work and adding a new feature that had not been previously marketed/promised usually doesn't fall into that category.

Best of luck with the new car. Have you considered PCD?

Performance Center Delivery. Means taking delivery of it from the Spartanburg factory and performance center.

I ordered mine on 12/31 and took delivery on 1/30. However, my dealer already had one in line that he changed the config to be what I wanted. The config was locked after only a couple of days.

As far as delivery/production it depends on what available production slot your dealer has. My car finished production on Nov 12th and started production about 10 days earlier. I picked it up at my dealer on Nov 20th. Total time was less than 3 weeks which is truly remarkable.

Dam that's fast!! I was told that mine has gone into production so let's start the meter lol My uncle has good connections so I'm hoping they fast track it a bit. I'm also gonna do the PCD its sounds like a good opportunity, till I get my next M3 with a European delivery.

Hi Guys i'm about to pull the trigger for a new X4 Xdrive 20d Msport edition sapphire black, innovation package, Nav Bmw Pro, parking assistance, BMW display key, Msport brake, gesture control, extended leather vernasca oyster.

It was a january exposition car, so i think i will have it the next week. I've some doubts, the first one is on the full digital display equipped, the 6wb, but i opened a new thread on this, my second doubt that i hope you can help me to dispel is on the idrive, it will be the idrive7, or 6 and it will be upgradable to the 7?
I don't know the differences between the two, i hope you can link to something interesting reading... for example, i will love the android auto, but i don't think i will have it on the car right?

thanks in advance to everyone!

Hey guys, hoping someone could help me out. Just got my 2020 X4 M40i and the front end just isn't doing it for me like the ass. Does anyone know what the difference is between the M40i front bumper and the M, from what I can tell it looks like my bumper has the fog lights and the M doesn't which makes it look more agressive. If that's the case are there parts I can buy to remove my fogs and make it look like the M ? Looking for a front lip and rear trunk spoiler but it's hard due to the dealers all closed. Any help would be awsome I'm new to the BMW world.

Pic of sly bracket install

Sorry - hadn't seen the request until now. I do not have the adaptive cruise so I can put it on the center of the bottom grille. If I did have the sensor, there's enough room to move it right or left. Here's a pic of how it looks!

I've got the X3 M40i with all the sensors and big brakes, and it looks like if I moved it to the left or right it would fit, but cover either the left or right cooling tunnel for the brakes. I guess if I weren't being too hard on the brakes or coming down out of the mountains all the time it might be OK.

I prefer this new model X4 design shape to the previous model. The red color for me looks super cool also. I think it's my choice color among the others
