2020 X3 M Competition vs 2018 X5 M comparisons?

Can anyone help me with comparisons between the new x3 m comp. and a late model x5 m?

Which has better acceleration from standing still?

Which has better acceleration from say 30-60 and 70-100 mph?

Which feels tighter and handles better overall?

Which has a more comfortable ride?

Which has a better interior?

Which sound system sounds better, the B&O in the X5 M or the HK in the X3 M Comp?

Does the X5 M 'feel' much roomier than the X3 M Comp?

Any other comparisons are welcomed! Thanks.

Have you thought about test driving and checking them out to see for yourself ? This would be the first thing I would do to get the comparisons.

Since the 2020 X5M isn’t out yet, I’ll assume you are thinking about the prior gen.

I owned a 2016 X5M for 2 years. 2020 X3MC since August 2019.

Stock vs stock X3MC is quicker, faster and handles much better since it is 700lbs lighter.

X3MC has a stiffer ride.

Front/rear seat size is very close.

X5M has more area behind the rear seat.

X5M is more visceral. Wot sound is different. Twin turbo V8 is an incredible sound.

X3MC has a bit better fuel economy.

X3MC is much quieter cruising.

X5M is Rambo.

I would agree with the above. Completely different vehicles. X3Mc is more nimble, better steering, stiffer ride and way more maneuverable than the x5M. V8 has instant power X3 I6 lacks some torque off the line but then wails. My X5M was heavily modded to around 725hp so not a fair fight. My X3Mc has a piggy to around 600hp and in sport plus its a rocket. X5M much better highway and long distance car. Longer wheelbase and larger overall so not a fair comparison. Still they each have a unique appeal. X3M has the best steering I have owned in a BMW up until the M8 and even then it still feel faster and sharper.

I usually do not change the steering settings as BMW seems to make them too heavy when you do. The X3M is almost perfect in comfort. The M8 is that way too.

M8 Competition Coupe. Tired of 4 doors had two Alpina B7s back to back, missed my M6 coupe.

RaceChip GTS Black. Works great and noticeable boost on sport plus. Enough power to spin all 4 wheels at a light. Also removes a bit of the initial on throttle lag.

I haven't put my draggy to it yet. There are posted ones on you tube. My guess is 0-60 in the low 3s with a solid launch.

Yes absolutely. Just for the improved throttle response alone.
