I heard back from MHD today. They have beta maps for the 2020 X3 M40i and asked if I'd like to use them. MHD said that the gains from our engine should be higher than before since turbo is larger (is it?) and other optimizations. Sound promising.

I have never done one of these tunes on my past bimmers (135i and 340i) but I am thinking that I want to explore doing a tune on my new car. Have people had good experiences with Mission Performance in the past? Any major issues that caused issues with warranties/dealers? |

Turbos are not larger, HPFP is better and doesn’t run out of fuel when running higher boost. Like the 2018-19 models.

I purchased a license from Bootmod3 and hooked my laptop up to it. The engine type that it is showing is B58-T0. Bootmod3 is currently working on the OTS maps for this but for the X5 40i. Not sure what this means for us since the X5 40i stock is only putting out 335HP.

I've been talking with MHD as well. They actually have a G20 M340i in their shop and are working on maps for it. I'll know Monday if I'll be able to get my hands on it. The fact that they have the same engine in their shop gives me a bit more confidence in their product. Until I get can my hands on something I'll continue to do my own research. I'm new to ECU flashing. I've used piggyback systems before but this is the first vehicle I've owned with such a large modding/tuning community. A lot of information to take in. Hopefully, I'll have an update from one of these companies on Monday. |

Best I ran was 3.3 but slope was high. I believe on a good day (weather) I can hook and do under 3.3 Still working with bootmod3 to finalize everything and push maps.

That's sick! Can't wait for Stage 2 E30 map to come out... did they say when they plan to push these out? This motor is going to be a beast! Not quite X3MC beast, but still stout AF!

Did you compare with launch control and no launch control. So many different opinions that LC makes the times actually slower.

I agree, I did brake boosting vs. LC and LC won for me each time.
