Ok, I suppose only $12k more than an X4MC. (Yes, the 4 is $3k more than a 3)

There is no replacement for displacement, as they say. Both very impressive, but loving the torque of the M177 engine. 700Nm is more than the F10 M5 competition was.

The BMW has legs on the top end but where in the hell can I race someone to pass them at 135+MPH?

Damn, was hoping for a better result. The GLC pulled a solid 1.5 cars from the get go and the X4M only passed it well into the triple digits.
This. Were I in the market, I would take the Macan Turbo over either, but short of that, the GLC63 is the best bang for the buck, and you get a snarling V8 to boot. X3/X4 still fantastic trucks though

I would choose X4MC over GLC63 without even examining various 0-to-something statistics.

Nice video!

The BMW's tech, handling and price give it a very slight advantage IMO. But, yes, both are BEASTS!

impressive, BMW is down on power by a sizable margin yet still pulls ahead everytime. The X5/6MC are going to be amazing if this is anything to go by.

The GLC is just too high in the back which kills it's looks. Once you lower it and even it out it looks really good.

This is mine lowered.

I test drove a X3MC my dealer and was underwhelmed because of the turbo lag. Not a fun thing to move on the street for its class.

S58 turbo is too big to use power from at least when you're not revving it up high.

In my opinion, Sacrificing response for peak hp is no wise for an M.

I'm not even sure this thing is an improvement in my book over the S55, in terms of overall driving experience.

That GLC was a '19, not sure if that X4 was '19 or '20 but the 2020 GLC tech is way better than that 2020 X4 tech.

The thing is, if you want a car that will last as a whole get the BMW. Even if the Mercedes will be better in numbers, is a rusting bucket. I will never buy a Mercedes again and they don’t even exist for me anymore. (And yes, I am an OCD car guy).
Maybe is ok for California, but if you live where these machines supposed to go, the BMW will last you a long time.
In terms of body, BMW is very well built machine.

I don’t understand the “GLC is better” argument tbh. First, the GLC coupe has only 17 cubic feet of trunk space vs. 28 in X3 M. It is also 15k more expensive. Didn’t most of us want a car that is both fast as hell but also practical and family-friendly? In fact, if acceleration is all you care about, at this price range and I would rather add 10 more k and buy the M5 that would absolutely wipe the floor with both cars in terms of 0-60 performance. Compared to the newest MB SUVs like the GLE, the interior even of the refreshed GLC looks dated and inferior. It does not have the gorgeous 12+12 digital panel of the newest MB products. In fact, MB will bring out a brand new GLC 63 in 2022.

I agree. I wish the X3M had the S55, as that thing had torque down low for days. The S58 sounds a lot better than the S55, but that's about it.

I always said if my F80's had AWD they would be perfect. So BMW builds an AWD S55 successor (the S58) and takes away all the low end torque and gives it lag. Why, BMW?

BMW corrosion warranty is second to none. I live in the Midwest with snow, salt, and sand. You can expect 20 years before you see surface rust.
