X3 35i real sleeper
Well truth be told I am a previous e92 n54 with all the supporting mods making 400+rwhp, and when I got the f25 N55 I swore I would keep it stock. So my list of what I will be doing is below. Any advice good or bad please post up.
AFE intake Vargas hybrid stage 1 turbo upgrade Vargas crank bolt capture catless downpipe remus axel back exhaust F30 aftermarket intercooler upgrade charge pipes JB4 or other tuner oil catch can valve cover breather KW coil overs (megan racing way less $) new coils and 1 step colder plugs snow performance meth kit flying under the radar is the most fun when you catch unexpecting sport car or so owners and show then what the N55 is all about. |

this small suv is very impressive.
I was on the market for a 3.0T Q5, with a stage 1+ tune (415hp), until someone told me that the f25 came with the n55 and they are wayyyy cheaper. My first impression was : "wtf, why they put so much performance in a such car?" getting high 13 with a stage 1 tune on 1/4 miles , stock internals, is crazy fast for a suv. zf 8 speed transmission is very smooth and fast. But nothing like my audi manual 6 speeds tho... overall, very impressed. Even my friend didnt believe it. -I have JB stage 1 on it, and probably put the JB4 laying in my garage ( I've just learned that it will work...lol). - golf t mod. and this is it. It's the wife 's car after all |

yea same here the performance is better than I thought it would be. My X3 runs perfect and no need for a new one as the performance is somewhat the same once I do a few grand worth of mods |

I did the following:
- AFE intake - FTP Motorsport charge pipes - new coils - Sprint Booster - RaceChip Ultimate piggy-back tune runs great, surprises a lot of people with the power it has. |

I did all but the charge pipes at the same time, so I dont have any data on the afe intake by itself, but I think it is worth it. Check the for sale forum, they pop up now and then for sale when people return leases.

The original BMW sleeper. Sorry no English translation. It matters little because the exhaust note is the same in German and English.

Now, both my cars a electronically controlled... hate the lag. both are tuned to ''reduce'' the lag. but its not perfect. Quote:
hard to find 0-60 and 1/4 miles time on these f25.... but a 6 inline with a twinscroll turbo, is very impressive even stock. |

Just to add to the sleeper thread again, I installed the xHP flashtool https://www.xhpflashtool.com/ and it really smoothed out the transmission and maybe even made my X3 faster? No dyno or 0-60 times to compare, but I like it.

This thread is crack; waiting for the title to take ownership of a 2014 F25 35i. Yes it's the N55 engine that sold it. Trading in my 2014 chipped Cooper S with manual on the 8 speed auto. I only got a short drive at the dealer to try out the X3 so I'm a bit apprehensive but I'll be happy to have the larger platform. It's really only missing a back-up camera for it to really meet my desired platform. I'll likely have the engine modded in pieces as I own it. My F250 Turbo is chipped with intake and exhaust mods as well. My naturally asperated Road Glide has aftermarket heads, electronics, intake and exhaust. Ahh but I ramble. Glad to hear the X3 six takes well to mods.

The hardback is really the sporty one lowest weight with the BMW 4 turbo. It's been a commuter and I'm well past the age where baby seats are needed. Decided to go a bit larger however.
