1 series wheels as winter wheels
I am sure this has been asked before. I have searched and didn't find an answer for the this specific question.
I have a 2011 x3 35i. I also have an extra set of 1 series wheels. 1 series wheels are 17x7 and 17x7.5 ET 47 OE wheels are 18x8 ET 43 I think they will physically fit probably with the need of spacers. However, in looking for tires, I'm concerned about the tire sizes that fit these wheels. I'm looking at 225 and 235 width wheels, which is less than the 245 on the stock wheels. Is this a crazy plan? Do I need to find other wheels? Or will this work? |

I believe +/- 10 mm is acceptable
you could fit 225s with some stretch I would imagine. A good tire shop should give you an answer.
