In my case there were 3 different keys that were very close, but only 1 was the right fit. All 3 passed in the bolt, and they sold me a wrong one the first time. After close inspection when I was back, you could see that correct one fits really snug. The other ones had a small play, but when the tech was in a rush and didn't really care, he was satisfied once they key fit in the bolt and he couldn't turn it by hand.

edit Combining these 2 links below https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=884120 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=36_1777 I’ve determined that it has to be one of Code 30,32,33,34,37. will need to count the teeth of my current bolt. Code.........Spline teeth................Key Part Number Code 30..........14.......................36 13 6 765 543 Code 32..........16.......................36 13 6 765 545 Code 33..........17.......................36 13 6 765 546 Code 34..........18.......................36 13 6 765 547 Code 37..........21.......................36 13 6 762 342 Last edited by Mingstar88; 04-26-2019 at 03:27 PM.. |

Could be. When I looked for my wheel lock, as I said, the dealer had the master lock kit. It's a like a small suitcase with many wheel locks. Way more than the few posted in your link. But who knows, maybe it will fit just by counting the splines

I'm sure you've done this already - but if you bought your car new you should have two keys. One will be in the trunk compartment and the other should be in your leather pouch with the owners manual.
