They had a Z4 M40i, Alpina B7, X3M Competition, M5 Competition, 330i with M Performance Parts, and 745LE on display at UDE in NJ this week. Here's a few pics I snapped of the X3M Competition:

That's what I was saying after seeing the first pics. The all black diffusor + exhaust tips combo (Competition version) makes it even more bland looking. Not ugly of course, but just not agressive enough.

irl, u can definitely see the exhaust tips from the diffuser. details tend to blend together in pics due to lighting

Yeah, I was taking it from a shadow, so the contrast with the white wasn't helping, but honestly, if I felt the photo simply wasn't doing it justice, I would've worked harder to get a better angle and exposure... it's still kind of blah and hidden. Sure you could see some distinction, but I agree with others that the other portion of the rear just isn't aggressive enough.

I'm sure it looks better irl and you can see the exhaust tips from the diffuser, especially under appropriate lighting conditions, from the right angle etc. But then again, that's not always the case.

I mean I didn't expect wider fenders like M2, M3 etc., it's a SUV and that's okay. But some fender lips, a more agressive rear diffusor, wider wheels etc. would make the car look more sporty and special.

I agree it would've been awesome for some wider fender flares and wider tires but the most important thing to me is the way it rides. I'm sure it won't disappoint.

tbh, I always mod my rides so I'm not too worried :

Yes, I'm pretty sure it will be fast and handle very well for a SUV. So since I'm pretty optimistic in terms of performance, I'm currently focusing more on the look of it.

I'm the exact opposite, I always prefer OEM if possible. Not a fan of modding, I mean you can make almost any car looking good with various tasteful mods, but it's not the real thing for me. So it's either I like it or not for me. It's like finding a girl attractive only after she did several cosmetic surgeries. You know how she actually looked like so it's not the same. Ok, this comparison is probably going a bit too far though.

Is it just me or do the wheels look they're for an electric Car? Not digging them😔 Wish it looked more different from the M40i also...

Nice pics though, thank you!

that interior looks more like an off white to me... it's a show car.. why be limited to what would look good in your driveway...

Besides... it will probably be named the Southwest edition, and be sold in that combo in Texas, and Arizona.

Me, on a 2011 328, a 2013 X3, a 2016 340, and a 2019 330. Oh, and a Mustang GT convertible, my very first car. Given how quickly I sold them when I was done, there must be a few other people that like that combination, as well.

So what's the uptick for the competition package? I don't see it included in the MSRP

Just what I was thinking and this is a competition x3M. 80k even for a fully loaded model. My F80, by comparison, was 85k fully loaded. The pricing will make this a very good seller IMHO.

I'm not sure if it's just the pictures, but every time I've seen those seats in that color they look pretty dirty expecially on the lower back area
