New X3 35i owner, couple ?s
Picked up this beauty for the wife yesterday. N54 & N55 in the garage now Probably will keep the mods light on this one, anyone using the MHD tuner on an X3? I use it on the 335 but that's a custom tune for a FBO setup, wondering how well the X3 will behave with a Stage 1. What about the xHP tranny tune? Worth it on these? Any other suggestions for light/simple mods, common issues to watch out for, etc. Already know about the water pump and getting that replaced soon. Thanks!

BM3 is also a solid platform. Ditch the run flats though.
xHP tune isn't ready for these cars if it's the 8 speed. If it's the 6 then go for it.

VERY nice car! Best of luck....one thought: you might remove the 'X3" (debadge), clearly personal preference but IMO it make for a cleaner looking ride.

I am BM3 stage 2 and I love it. No complaints, driveline holds the power effortlessly.

They have a tune for 2011 models? What's the FTP Pipes and Bimmer Code in your Sig?

FTP is a company that makes an aluminum charge pipe and boost pipe for the x3 with n55. I'd highly recommend purchasing. The stock charge pipe sometimes explodes at WOT on stock tune. Running higher boost with a tune, it will definitely kaboom. Bimmer code is a simple app you can use to change around and toggle different configurations in the car. For example, some of the things I did with bimmer code: I brightened the Angel Eyes, added Rolls Royce bongs and warning sounds, and made the turn signals show up in the HUD. Nothing Earth shattering but just little cool features.

Very nice indeed. I also have white and those 308 wheels. Good luck with it. I just clicked over 70k this weekend. Other than some minor trim bits and the LED Boards, I've nothing to complain about. And yes. Get rid of those run flats. That's next on my list
