F25 10.25 in touchscreen OEM screen upgrade
Hi experts
I have seen the G30 with NBT evo and OEM touch screen 10.25 inches and it looks amazing. From my UK supplier I am sure this touchscreen can be retrofitted in my F25. As the screen size is bigger than the current 8.8 inches screen. I was wondering if this screen can be fitted on the dash (tablet style). More or less should be the same mod that is made for the E70. I am planning to make this retrofit and I will post pics. Any advice for the fitment is highly appreciate it. |

Hopefully you will pull it off as I might be inspired to pursue the same upgrade as long as it's not cost prohibitive or requires sawing off bits of the dash.

However, my combing of aliexpress for F25 10.25" head units shows pictures with bezel on them that don't look at all compatible. Hopefully those are just stock photos, and not what would be received. First one in with real world pics of one of these on an F25 wins!

I just came back from USA and I have the G30 screen. Tomorrow I will start the NBT Evo retrofit works. As I have the 8.8in screen (original for f25) and 10.25 (G30) I will start using the 8.8 while I develope some ideas how to fit.
View post on imgur.com the good news are that the screen fits. I am thinking to cut the legs of the screen (10.25 from G30( and use a the 6.5 inches screen frame to support the bigger one. I will report then. |

Interesting project! What year is your X3?
Here's a few pics of a guy who installed 10" screen into X3 F25 dash

with respect to the screen of the image. It seems that space is not enough to complete the height, right? |

Technically all X3 F25s were designed with space in the dash for screen size up to 8" but you can fit the 10" screen as you see in the photos. You have to cut some dash material on top to slide in the screen.

I have an NBT head unit in my January 2014 build date F25, so it's not exclusively post-facelift.

Avinusa
I went with the AVIN unit. Love it. BMW should buy this solution. Better than theirs.
https://avinusa.com/ No cutting of wires and fit perfectly. |

Hi for the NBT Neo I recommend Naviprof on ebay. Ask for a NBT EVO 4gb ram with G30 10.25in touchscreen abd the plug and play connectors. He ships the unit with your VIN number and it is plug and play. It is a UK supplier highly recommended.
For the installation you can do it yourself it is very easy with the complete cable set that you receives. In order to fit the screen you need to sacrifice the old screen (6.5in) because you will need to cut three holes: 2 holes for the legs and one to pass the API cable (connecting Evo and screen). See picture below: View post on imgur.com Then the Touchscreen is attached to the existing frame. You have to do it as shown below: View post on imgur.com The |
