So wait a minute, you are taking delivery of an X4? When did this decision occur? Last I heard, you were after an E70. Is the X4 replacing the X3, or in addition? You and drexplode are two that have gone from a G01 to a G02

Quick 112 mile update.
Drive is nice. Exhaust on startup sounds good. Not as many burbles and pops as the M40 g01 while driving. For me this is slight negative but understandable given the b46 engine. I need to read the manual about the HUD. The head up display so far looks exactly as my old x3. See picture below. I haven't see any full color wow factor. When driving there is a raspy noice from the rear. It honestly sounds like a Honda fart can at random times. I'm trying to figure out it the muffler / exhaust is vibrating against some heat shielding in the rear or if it is normal. Need to figure out how to recreate. I'm still trying to figure out the safety tech on the car. It's reassuring knowing it is there to HELP. |

Did a couple things today.
Install hood insulation to match the m40i models Installed 15mm H&R spacers Installed front plate. Yes I hate the look but I get harassed in my neighborhood w/o the front plate . |

Excellent setup!
What I really like are the black kidneys, license plate (we don't get such beauty plates in EU) and car colour! Anyway, how is the ride quality? On bumps, potholes? Is your configuration on standard suspension or Active Dampers? I ordered same engine with exception that I opted for 20" ROF rims + Standard Suspension. |

I have only done highway miles so far. Need to drive in city to get a better answer for you. This x4 30i has the adaptive dampers. I appreciate the kind words. When do you expect yours ? |

Well, I spent some time outside in the garage again today.
Installed burger intake. This intake was previously installed on m40i. Fits ok. I wonder if burger provides different parts for b46. Will email them to find out. The intake sounded amazing with the x3. On the x4 it sounded a little wheezy during the quick ride. I'll have a better idea tomorrow. Installed jb4. The jb4 is used so I need to have burger unlock it or the previous owner log out somehow . Currently working on this. |
