Winter Wheels fitment help
Looking to buy some cheap winter wheels to throw on the x3. Found a good deal on a set of style 116 on 225/45/17. I believe be offset for these are 20mm which seems to be my only concern. Anybody have any thoughts on whether or not these wheels will work with the f25?
Thanks! |

My wife has OEM Style 369's on her M-Sport X3 and according to BMW, these are ET38's. I hated the spacing and gap, thus installed a set of 15/20mm spacers front/rear which fill out the spacing very nicely. With the spacers, our rim setup is effectively ET23/18. I think you should be fine with your style 116s as ET20.

I found a set of 17" wheels from older X5 with correct (40 mm) offset for $60 each. These wheels are everywhere and, in my opinion, preferable to wheels and spacers since they are an exact fit in every way. BTW, 225//45-17's are undersized for an X3's weight and will also cause speedometer error. I believe 225/60-17 is the correct sized tire.
