Seeking Owner of a non-North American X4
Seeking contact with an owner of a late model non-North American X4/X3 (F26/F25) with the LED light package (BMW Adaptive LED). USA/Canada market cars are programmed differently from the factory than the same model sold in Europe, the Far East or probably just about anywhere else. And I would like to compare some features between our cars. Either PM or post here. Thanks.

I assume you car has Auto High Beams, yes? But do you also have Non Glare High Beams (NGHB)? If so, are you able to have fog lights and NGHB on and functioning at the same time? PS: jeg er Dansker

Yes, I have the NGHB (weird term - I prefer the term Adaptive LED). Regarding fog and active adaptive LED's at the same time, I'll check later tonight. |

Sorry for a late reply.
First result: - While driving on the highway, the adaptiveLED/NGHB-function was automatically turned off as soon as I turned on the fog lights...however, when driving at a slower speed (around 40 km/h) the function was not turned off! At least not the auto high-beam function. I were not able to test the "masking" function at 50km/h so I have to look into this a bit more. I'll be back. |

Did some more testing.
As said earlier, the "masking/non-glare" function is turned off as soon as you hit the fog light switch. I found that it is true regardless of speed. However the auto high-beam is not affected. So, if the high beam light is on - but not the non-glare function - the fog light and high beam can co-exist. I hope you understand DBU |

Unfortunately, most North American X4 owners with the LED headlight option are missing out on the full potential of their "BMW Adaptive LED" headlights. Thanks for your time Scandic24 Love your avatar...
