Voice command volume low
I had a new combox put into my 2012 X3 35i and everything seems to work fine except now when I press the voice command button on the steering wheel, the volume of the prompt is low and I can't figure out how to turn it up. I've tried the volume knob but that doesn't work. It's probably something that I missed easily. How do I do it? Thanks.

Yeah only way to adjust the volume is when the navigation is running and the woman is giving directions. It's annoying because if I'm trying to raise the volume of a song, then the navigation voice gets raised instead. On the newer iDrive, the navigation voice can be adjusted through the menu, but not on the 2011-2013 I believe.

Certain volume controls can be adjusted at any time. Voice commands, including navigation, can only be manipulated in real-time as you hear audio.

Even in your 2016 X3? I got a 2016 F30 320i XDrive loaner from the dealership and I specifically remember in the audio options the navigation volume could be manually adjusted through the iDrive setting. But like OP in my 2012 F25, it can only be adjusted by either the volume knob or the steering wheel toggle switch when the navigation voice he being heard. And I remember the iDrive being extremely fast while switching screen to screen. I guess newer software and faster processing power.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had tried adjusting the volume up while the voice command assistant was talking and it seemed to work. It didn't the first time I tried it. But now it's up to a level that I like so it never has to be changed again.
