Rust on inside of wheels
I've seen a couple threads related to wheel corrosion but I haven't seen many pictures. Can someone let me know if this is normal on a 2013 or if I should be heading in to see my dealer?

What you have seen in threads are, probably, problems with cracks around center cap. Supplier problem - rims exchanged.
You don't have corroded rims - you have corroded discs, but since it is not in the active part it is no problem-everybody has it. |

Mine is a 2013 X3 Xdrive 30d M Sport with the very same staggered set up and they look exactly the same.

Absolutely no point. It will happen again within 2 years.

It will just react with the rest of the ferrous disc as well, so absolutely no point.

Depending on what part of the US you live in. Corroded Brake Discs are going to happen, especially if you live in an area that snows and rains alot. You could sand the rusty part down and spray rustoleum paint on it, to prevent it from happening again, but as others have stated. This probably will come up again and again. Only way to get rid of it, is to replace the entire brake disk with a new one.

I have the corrosion around the centre cap on 1 wheel. Pictures taken of all 4 and sent to dealer. Should hear something in the next few days

Mine also rusted. Replaced with Zimmerman rotors which are coated. I've had them on nearly 30 months and no rust! You can get black rotors as well (coated as well).

According to the website, IronX shouldn't be sprayed on calipers (and presumably rotors):
Iron X is highly recommended for all clear coated alloy wheels. Brake dust and road grime become baked onto wheels. Brake dust contains high levels of iron and can quickly pit clear coated wheels. Iron X easily removes ferrous brake dust to protect your wheels from further damage. Iron X can save you the cost of replacing your factory wheels! Note: Iron X should not be used on bare metal parts, brake calipers, wheel balancing weights, or SMART paint repairs. Mask off these areas. Avoid letting Iron X dry on any surface.
