Air Filter and Cabin Filter / Micro Filter Replacement Questions for 2012 X3 35i...
I am totally confused at present with which part #'s I need.
My wife's car has 30k miles and I took it to the dealer. They wanted $120 for Air Filter Cartridge ($55 labor/$65 parts). They wanted $142 for Microfilter ($55 labor/ $77 parts). Unless I am mistaken these are projects that I can easily do myself. I contacted autohauzaz and there is some confusion on which parts I need. For Air Filter Cartridge: OEM Air Filter cartridge is #13717571355 (Mann) for $17. Please confirm part #. For Cabin Filter / Micro Filter: Autohauzaz indicated that I not only needed a cabin filter but also a microfilter. Did I misunderstand. They gave me the following part #'s and I don't know what to buy: LAK630S (Mahle) Cabin Air Filter vs CC-64319312318 Corteco-Micronair Cabin Air Filter Set $26.74 vs 64119237159 Mann Cabin Air Filter Set vs 64319237157 Micronair Cabin Air Filter Set. Which part # is correct? Do I need a Cabin Air Filter set and a separate purchase for Microfilter set? Some of the these show activated charcoal and some don't. Do you suggest the charcoal activated? If so, which ones I would appreciate your assistance in identifying the correct parts to order. Thanks Anthony |

Use realoem.com to look up bmw part numbers.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=02_0078 I usually buy the activated carbon filters, but it probably doesn't matter much.
