2016 X4 28i Just Ordered
Ordered my 2016 X4 28i last week.
Dark Grey Metallic Oyster Leather M Sport Package 20" 310 wheels Driver Asst Plus Premium Package Tech Package Heated Front Seats The only thing I could not get was the HK sound system. For whatever reason it's not available on the 2016 X4 28i until May, but I had to get my order in to take advantage of the early lease-end program that ended in March. I'm excited to get back into a Sports Activity Coupe. I previously had a 2009 X6, and replaced it with an X1 in 2012. I was never thrilled with the X1 (not a bad car, just not for me.) Plus, when I got my X1 in late 2012, I rarely saw another one on the road. Now I see at least ten a day. Fortunately I have only seen one X4 on the road since they came out last year. I hope it stays that way for a while. |

My 2015 X4 arrived in July 2014, after a two-month wait. When are you expecting delivery of your 2016 X4? Assuming the same kind of timeline this year, too.

I was told it would be mid-May, about 7-8 weeks after I ordered it. According to the production status, it is supposed to finish production on April 11th, (my birthday ), so a delivery date of mid-May, seems feasible.

I was told by the sales person the "pull ahead" program was ending in March, but I recently discovered it was still going on. But I guess I can live without the HK. I got every other option, so I hope I won't miss it too much.

I absolutely hate car dealerships, absolute scum of the Earth. I expected a superior buying experience with BMW, but it was worse than when buying a regular brand. BMW CAs are arrogant. Looking forward to their slow demise and manufacturers selling direct to consumers, like Tesla (Model III, maybe my next car? ).

I've read various post on the quality of the "standard" BMW sound system, and I think I'll be okay. I mainly listen to satellite talk-radio, so I don't need 16 speakers, 9 should suffice. |

My 2016 X4 has finished production and is waiting to be released to the carrier. It is my understanding that it will get shipped via rail to the West Coast VDC in Oxnard, CA, then get trucked to the dealer. Does anyone know how long the rail trip from SC to CA takes?

It took me 4 days to drive from NY to Palm Springs. I am sure the rail will be shorter, but the question is how long will it sit in the VDC before it is trucked to the dealer. Congrats on the x4. I have the 28i and I am happy with the power it has. Test drove both the 28 and 35, and felt that the 35 would cause me to get more speeding tickets. Enjoy!

Really, they let you custom order one without an agreement on price? Sounds like they have all the power in that negotiation once it comes in.

It went thru Wggoner transport trucking. I think it was 4 days to get to Denver and a day for dealer to set up if I am remembering correctly. I think Coolesnce is in Northern Cal, he might have a better projection. |

Why do they have anymore power than I do? If I don't like the price, I just walk away. I've bought 4 BMWs from this sales person over the last twelve years. She's fair, otherwise I would not be coming back to her for the fifth time.
